It's a plywood core with fibreglass and gel coat over. The gelcoat was a pain in the butt until I bought a proper sprayer. If I was doing it again I would use a couple extra layers of fibreglass, as its not as stiff as I hoped...but does the trick. It's about 50 lbs.
Replaced the old bimini frame with a frame made from 1" stainless tube.
