I have always wanted a decent heater for the cabin of my boat from the day that I bought her. It did come with a cheap Woods brand RV propane heater but I ripped that out almost instantly. It was a cheap piece of crap and I don't like propane on a boat.
I came across an interesting deal on a forced air diesel heater that is made by a company that was started by ex-Espar employee's. It sure looks like and Espar. The company is called Snugger. I have started to layout how it's going to get installed and took some preliminary photos to start. I will post up the install as she goes.
I decided to mount it under the Port side passenger seat area.
Here is how the exhaust vent will have to work. It's an upside down u type trap so water does not get into the unit. Apparently this is the common way to install these vents. I was talked out of venting through the cabin bulkhead into the deck space as it will suck some exhaust back into the cabin.
