mercury controls switcheroo

So I have a merc 9.9 pro kicker with electric controls on the tiller if I want to remove the tiller and make a remote station are all mercury controls adaptable to my engine. I ask because there is a complete used setup on craigslist but for a 150 optimax with cables and wiring. Looking for some real world knowledge .

most of it should work, you may need a adapter for the wiring harness, but you will need a separate remote kit for the pro kicker

I have done similarly with older Yami kickers. All they have is stop button, and shift, and throttle control on their steering handle. The Yami wiring uses bullet connections that pull apart, then add your wires instead. Add another start button also.
