Live Bait Rig for Ling Cod

Folks, do you have any recommendations on rig set ups when using live bait for Ling Cod? I plan on using live Greenling & would appreciate some pointers on how you would make your rigs? I sat down yesterday with the terminal tackle & crimps,,,, after a few minutes I realized im best to get advice so I do it right the first time.

Nostril hooking has always worked best for me the few times I've done it-80# mono tied to a 8/0 Siwash hook is plenty.

You don't use a trailer hook with it?

i use a trailer inserted in the back. single hooks only.

Hook in top of back. And hang on, Halibut like greenling too.

No just let him eat it-your stated goal of C&R is much easier with just one hook plus I'm both lazy and don't like prying barbed hooks out of my hands.

?? I salmon fish with two hooks ... give ILHG a break ... two hooks will be just fine. ILHG, have fun fishing for those big lings
