Lake Cowichan camping and boating

Going to be camping at Gordon Bay for a couple of nights and will bring our 17’ boat if the weather forecast is good. Can anyone recommend any nice beaches on the lake to visit? Any good fishing spots?

Plenty of nice beaches, or at least there used to be the last time I was there. Nice beach near baldy mtn and also a bunch of nice ones down past Youbou and towards the west end of the lake. We used to fish out near Caycuse, Shaw Creek area with good results back years ago.

If I recall, there is a fairly decent concrete ramp at the Gordon Bay campground that I could launch from. Anyone know the current state of that ramp?

that is a great ramp. free and lots of parking. It is almost part of the campground.
