Keel Guards

I was considering ordering a keel guard for my glass boat. Anyone have any testimonials? It's going to cost about $150.00 for my boat size. Are they worth it? I thought there was a previous thread but could not find it. eman

Yes, they are worth it.
I bought mine on line and saved a little.
takes about an hour to install and preparation is the key.

I put one on after marking up my hull and having to have to fix gel coat. I found that different ramps effected the way my boat landed on the trailer and having a keel guard reduced the risk of repeating a scratch. There is some prep/cleaning to do to install it. Make sure you follow instructions closely or you can make an expensive mistake.

I wouldn't be without one. My wife did most of the install until the time came to use three hands.

Might be the second best for me. Trim Tabs are definitely number 1.
