Just curious

Here is what we found at Costco last week. I find the label curious. Organic Salmon from Norway? Really, so does that mean that it is wild salmon? Why not say so. Perhaps it's penned, pellet fed salmon. Not certain how that can be organic.
Is it just me?

If the package says so, must be true. Right?
At very least it looks nicer then the orange salmon from superstore.

If it doesn't say wild its not wild.

I know its a complete joke but somehow farmed fish was able to get the organic label. I think regulations to qualify for organic are no pesticides for last 2 weeks of its life?

Fish farm supporters should be able to correct me and fill you in or you can probably google it. Fish farming is far from organic but anyways...

Edit ok I googled it, here's one opinion.

FUNNY we farm salmon here then import farmed from Norway? Makes a lot of sense. But at least people buying that crap aren't supporting the local fish farms.
