Johnstone Straight Chum
Hi, I was whale watching yesterday out of Telegraph Cove. There was 7 seiners working a point off of one of the islands out in Blackfish Sound. At the end of the day around 4:30 several of them were heading back to port and they were all very heavily laden, not much for freeboard left.
We also saw about 40 Stellar sealions having a major chum eating fest just thrashing thru the chum tossing them everywhere.
I think from this there is some major chum heading down the Johnstone Straight-or at least what is left over.
