Howe Sound Chinook Fishery

Anyone have reports for the Howe Sound area? It's almost time for the Squamish White Springs to show up if I remember past years. Heading out on Friday/Sat and with the winds being what they are in the Strait I think I'll try Howe Sound.

Fished Porteau and Defence last two weekends without a sniff. I also spoke with a buddy who fished it this past Monday with nothing. Talked to another boat out this past Saturday when I was fishing who got nothing as well.

I belicve we're seeing the impact of the CN rail spill this year. It happened right when the majority of the Chinook were in the river spawning. It should be better fishing then it currently is. I fish this area quite a bit, so I am very familiar with it and I have never seen it this slow.

I did hear of a few fish in the upper sound last week around Waterfall and Grace.
