Hook, Line and Sinker

A few points of terminology.

1-that is not a Snell</u> there are many ways to Snell a hook but that isn't one of them not even close,looping a doubled line through the eye of the hook makes a Cat's Paw </u> connection not nearly as strong as a Snell.

2-Overhand knots, even tripled, are one of the weakest connections extant OK fishing for smaller freshwater species but entirely undependable otherwise.

...only problem with the snell you are showing is that it is missing one step between "C and D" to make it a better, stronger knot. There should be two sets of wraps, not one, to stop it from falling apart.

The link that you posted shows a better snell and can be harder for some folks...the egg loop snell is a good knot and a little easier for most folks to accomplish.

Second picture calls for 20 wraps, which I think its quite a bit maybe 7 at most, and if you count them in the pics I can count like 7 or 8.

Hey guys,

Nice to see some other ideas...oh...and that video was not spam...I just wanted to share some info & it's nice to see some other ideas come from this. In particular, thanks for the extra tips RVP.
