Hoist

I have to yank the inboard out of my boat in the next couple of days. I lost the access to the hoist I have used in the past. Anyone know of a hoist I can rent or use to pull out the engine and drop back into my pick up? The hoist has to have a pretty high reach to get the block up and over the transom. I live in the Comox valley. I have to get to the bottom of my steamy engine issue!
Thanks,
Alan

About all I can suggest, are truck rental places(budget etc), tyre shops that do call outs to large trucks, auto, auto breakers, roofing companies. Get the engine to a point of ready to lift out with a hoist you can fit onboard, and then hire the crane and operator forthe lift to the ground. An alternative might be to get it ready to lift out , float it over to a marine lift and remove it there, providing of course you can be sure that it won't leak when you are doing so.

Call a tow truck or someone that has a crane truck. Like gungadin says get it all ready to go and then call them to lift it out.
