Gulp and Powerbait Tips

I got the last sale at the now closed ( ) westshore fishing and tackle shop. Bought a new rod, 6 freshwater lures, and a bunch of saltwater powerbait. The list goes as such:
1x Pink 5" squid (gulp)
1x 5" swimming shad (powerbait)
1x Lime Tiger 3" squid (gulp)
1x New Penny 5" squid (gulp)

I know how to fish the squid, and sort of how to fish the shad but any pointers would be useful.

Hey falcon which ones did you buy, the weighted ones or the unweighted ones.

I always just thread them onto lead heads and they are killers with the lings....GL

I thread all of them on lead-heads. Sounds like you will be casting off the breakwater. Thread them with the hook side up and use a jig head that is not too big for the size of the bait. However, I have caught monster lings on 5" gulp squid and a big 6oz lead head. It did not look quite right (and my mates laughed at it) but it worked. It's all about the scent......let us know how it goes......

Sure thing! I will probably use up my frozen squid first, so it may be awhile
