I noticed your bow is enclosed, I like that feature. A lot of the aluminums have an open bow. That concerns me somewhat. Welcome;) eman

I had an '08 Hewescraft 220 Searunner ht/ext. transom built in the States... Colville, Wash. I researched boats that might suit our needs for almost 2 years before deciding on this boat. We boat year round on the westcoast of BC, both "inshore" and "offshore". I looked at most of the aluminum boats manufactured on the lower coast in BC first, and then made trips to the states to see boats of interest. After over 120 hrs now, I've been very pleased with this boat. We purchased it when the buck was $1.05 in our favor.
Anyway, let me know if you want more information....
Here's a pic of "Nahmint"....<a href="http://s301.photobucket.com/albums/nn53/nahmint/?action=view&current=Nahmintportrait.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn53/nahmint/Nahmintportrait.jpg" border="0" alt="Nahmint"></a>

No place I would rather be (FISH ON)

Pictures of my boats. I fish them 2-3 weeks a year out of Bamfield and Ucluelet. The rest of the time they are available for rent.

We've had them out in nasty conditions open ocean conditions and they do very nicely. The ride in big waves is significantly better than we had expected (the suspension seats help a lot).

anything wrong with a siver streak out of sooke? if they're competitivly priced why not buy canadian? the 30 footer i was on this year was a pretty sweet machine.

Silver Streak make *beautiful* boats. However, they are expensive compared to the assembly line aluminum boats coming out of the states. They are a higher quality, custom, commercial grade boat and you pay for it.

We priced a 21 foot silver streak and it was $30K more than the North River Seahawk 21 that we ended up buying.

That 30 foot Silver Streak you were on likely cost well in excess of $120K!

We are looking for a new boat and currently been looking at the Aluminums coming out of the states Hewes, Alumaweld, Northriver, Thunderjet etc. Does anyone have one of these or been on one
20_luxor_ob_os_1.jpg

They look really sweet to me and have seen some for some really good prices. The one pictures is 20'.

Duckworth, Alumaweld, Customweld, Hewes, and Thunderjet all make nice boats. North River is undergoing some financial difficulties (I own two of them) but will likely survive in some capacity.

We run our North Rivers offshore all the time and they deal very nicely with swell up to 8-10 feet. The ride is not as good as a Grady, but still pretty good with the suspension seats.

I cant believe how many of you guys have Northriver boats. Id almost think that with such a flat bottom they'd be rough riding..

Fill the dam tub!

My North River Seahawk 21 actually has a pretty deep V and the dry weight is 2600 pounds. Its no Grady, but it does very nicely out of Ucluelet and Bamfield...
