I have two Daiwa M1 Plus reels that had virtually no drag left in them at all.

Went to Highwater Tackle on Lonsdale in North Vancouver today, and the girl there replaced the drag washers with new and improved ones - free of charge.

Reels are now better than new!

That is what I call great customer service! :)

Hope they didn't lube the drag washer. They are meant to be run dry and most greases will eat them. Fixed a few of these for friends and all had lubed drag washers.

I bought the Shimano drag washers and popped them in. They work great. Mine were crushed down to almost paper thin.

Just hold the reel and unscrew the drag knob all the way. The washer is just under that. You don't even have to take the spool off. Good luck.
