I am new to the Comox Valley, could anyone tell me of a good place to go crabbing.

Welcome to the Valley Jamie. Try 40-60' of water south of Goose Spit. Mostly female dungeness loaded with eggs last time I was out, but we did get a few red rock for the pot. Try to set over a tide change if you're able. You'll see bouys of other fisher's traps when you in the right area.
