Crabbing results

This is my 2nd season crabbing in the Douglas Channel, did very well over 3 days last week with lots of large dungeness in the traps except that they were all females. Typically lay traps in 35-50 feet of water. Any suggestions on how to change these results would be appreciated.

one time i had a trap down (25'-30') I pulled up just over 30 legal crab with only 2 being female. (this was up near rupert) kinda blew me away....
sorry i don't have any suggestions for you...

ive been crabbing in howe sound (vancouver) at 60-70ft and have been getting 90% male
hauls have been really good too (last weekend i had a 24hr soak with 11 keepers, two of which were 7"+

Fixit, funny u should mention that. I was speaking to someone at my local marina and he stated that if you are only catching females to go deeper as the females congregate together so i'll definitely give it a shot next time out.
