Crabbing near Sooke

Will be heading to Sooke next week and would appreciate some tips for locations to try for Crabbing. I am not overly familiar with the area, as I have only been out there for a couple weeks last year, (didn't try for crab) was looking for Salmon then.
Would also appreciate any direction as to where some Halibut or Snapper may be found.

do u ever see the traps just up from the purple house on gordons anymore, i remember about 6 years ago there were tons of traps there, u ever try that spot?

Inside the Basin out from the docks. You will see the floats.

There is a ton of commercial traps out there right now!!!! the purple house is no more its a even grosser bright pumpkin orange now LOL LOL got to admit weird color choices LOL
