Just took a bunch of spoons, some with a bit of rust, or other marks/accumulations, and tried CLR.
Dropped the spoons in for < a minute each, and used a little dishwashing sponge thing to wipe them, all came out nice.
Worked well on the steel and painted surfaces.
They went from CLR bath and scrub into water with a bit of dishwashing liquid in it, and then rinsed with fresh water. Seemed to work well on all finishes.
The only area where it wasn't perfect were where painted spoons had a bit of paint missing. In those cases there is a bit more paint missing (areas got a bit bigger).
Worked well so I did a few plugs next. Worked even better on the plugs.
Don't know if there will be any long term effects from the CLR bath.
Any one have experience using CLR (any adverse effects?) or any other products?
