Hey all, I'm looking to buy a mid 1980's Surf whaler 17' it apears to be in good shap and comes with a 1999 yamaha 90 hp outboard 2 stroke. Any wisdome that could be offered would be greatly appriciated. about how much is it worth? Any problems with the surf whalers that I should know about before I buy it? Whats the difference between surf whaler and the famous Boston Whaler? Please help me out. Thanks a bunch!

Thanks for the posts. Barnacle Bill, can you tell me alittle more about the Surf Whaler? I have nearly 0 information about them. I hear there was a problem with some of the older Bostons where the foam was filling with water. Do you know of this being a problem with the Surf as well?
