I actually owned one in the past but sold it quickly to upgrade.
I've been looking for something smaller to takes the kids out and use at the lake. I put together a nice dingy package that I was going to use but now I'll sell that instead (ez loader trailer, walker bay 290? Hard bottom inflatable, 2018 suzuki efi 9.9)

Should be fine, most lodges originally used 70-75’s on their 18’ boats as the fishing grounds were not far away. If that boat does not have a lot of dead rise, it would plane easy with the smaller of the two choices. Would they sell it without power at all and you find your own?

It’s a 75 which is the same as the 90 or 115, just detuned. So if it’s not enough for you, you can get it reprogrammed to a 90 or 115 if you wish or find a PCM from a 90 or 115. The 75 also needs a restrictive plate removed to make it like the 90/115 but they are all the same guts and easy to get more horsepower. I have a 2012 merc 90 and a 115 and I can just change the PCM to change from each other.
