Boat Trailers - Any downside or benefit to Torsion Arm suspension over typical Leaf Springs?

I have had many trailers over the years both leaf spring and torsion. Torsion was smoother for sure. My boat with ez loader with torsion axle was bought in Utah and towed 1600 kms home as well as many trips to the west coast without any issues.

You hit a bump, all of the load is on one axle.
so the other side that didnt hit a bump they are holding nothing?
if you hit a bump on the one tire probally a millasecond later your hitting that said so same bump on the next tire. sure its independant BUT i doubt all 8000 lbs is gonna be on 1 tire at any moment.

Main reason bearing and axles get toasted are lack of maintaing and over loading just cas it say 4500 lbs doesnt mean load 4500 lbs I see it all the time guys load the heck out of the boat then do 100 kms a hour and hit a big dip and ooopppp axles is bent or seen many a bearing buddy fly off.

Ill stick to torsion after 30 years of fighting damn springs and carriages breaking ...
