anyone use Okuma Solterra SLX-20

My father was just given one of these today to use for halibut. I have never seen a drag system like this before. Anyone have any experience with these reels?

You have the SLX 20II (2 speed).....not the one speed model that you have linked for a description.

I grabbed a photo from the internet. The box says Okuma solterra slx slx-20. Are they any good? Better than the Penn squall 50?
