Anyone lose this boat ?

Damn that's crazy hope no one went over! Looks like it's well rigged so hope it simply broke its moorings. There area few bouys in the bay just south of Byng and a couple off Robert's creek but that's it so if this thing drifted to shore it wasn't local.

Motors trimmed up so you’d like to hope not! Nice looking rig, rods on it too. Can they not lookup owner from reg. number?

We have had some bad storm winds recently. Lets hope it just broke off its moorings and drifted in the wind and waves. It looks like there is at least a part of an anchor rode or mooring line off the bow. It could have been much worse as it looks like it ended up on a gravel beach instead of having the bottom ripped out of it on a isolated jagged reef somewhere and not discovered for sometime or worse sunk. If someone had gone overboard in a storm, there is a good chance they would have been reported missing by now and the Coast Guard would be showing a lot more interest in its discovery, unlikely with the motors up..

I would say it was anchored out by the bow line hanging off it. Just like Oak Bay there are boats breaking their moorings and ending up on the beach almost every year when a stiff SE'er hits.

Looks like it may have been at a dock with power judging by the extension cord? Not sure where it could have drifted from if that’s the case

someone go on a salvage run!!
Good idea!
"Any person who salvages a wreck is entitled to reasonable costs and expenses for salvage. If no owner can be found, the person who salvages a wreck may be awarded the wreck, or receive money from its sale. The reward can't be more than the wreck's value."

Once was a nifty little jet boat now retired at Vanier Park.
