We went out on Saturday morning and set the traps in 325' close to where I usually place them near Gambier Island and then ventured off for an overnight quiet retreat from life and reconnect with my wife.
This morning (Sunday) on our way home we went to collect what has been our usual 4 dozen (+/-) prawns and the traps were gone. The weather has been good and no strong currents to drag them but they were decidedly gone. They were set in 325' at mid-tide with a little over 75 ft of slack (sinking) rope. Double bouys and named.
Crap! Wouldn't have minded half as much if they just took the prawns and left the traps. If they are stupid enough to use my bouys, I will find them.
