All Things COVID-19

I agree that censoring a differing opinion is wrong, but eliminating misleading and untrue garbage like the earth is flat and Trump is still president is something I hope continues. Truth and science matter, tired of all of this.
So who should decide what is misleading and not? Because right now it’s just employees at these companies deciding. So personal bias comes into play and it just so happens that most of the Silicon Valley media companies are extremely left wing.

COVID-19 vaccines don’t destroy T cells or weaken immune system

Myth: A study from the Francis Crick Institute in London found that Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine destroys a type of white blood cell called the T cell and weakens the immune system.

But that’s not at all what the research shows, according to the Francis Crick Institute’s Dr. David Bauer, one of the study’s authors.

“Our work to date has not studied T cells at all,” Bauer told the AP in an email. “All research published to date shows that the Pfizer (and other) vaccines generate a strong, positive, protective T-cell response against SARS-CoV-2.”

The claim that the vaccines weaken the immune system is also false, Bauer confirmed. Research from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and others shows the vaccines boost the immune response.

Alternate Covid vaccines in the works

Medicago - virus like particle vaccine will be produced in Canada and is in stage 3 right now

Types of Vaccine Platforms

All vaccine platforms are designed to train our immune system.
There are two categories of COVID-19 Vaccines: Component Viral Vaccines and Whole Virus Vaccines.

Component Viral Vaccines

Protein Subunit: Contains isolated and purified viral proteins

Virus-like Particles (VLP): Contains viral proteins that mimic the structure of the virus, but no genetic material

DNA-based and RNA-based: Contains viral genetic material (such as mRNA) which provides the instructions for making viral proteins

Non-Replicated Viral Vector: Contains viral genetic material packaged inside another harmless virus that cannot copy itself

Replicating Viral Vector: Contains viral genetic material packaged inside another harmless virus that can copy itself

Whole Virus Vaccines

Inactivated: Contains copies of the virus that have been killed (inactivated)

Live-Attenuated: Contains copies of the virus that have been weakened (attenuated)

I guess the number is higher than I would expect. But it is human nature for some people to go against the grain.
It's the "You can't tell me what to do" factor. Apparently strong enough in 3% of doctors and nurses that they'd rather let their job go than sacrifice their principles.

I think it's more than "you can't tell me what to do." It's an ethical issue. There is no scientific evidence that show vaccine passports/mandates do anything to mitigate virus transmission. Not unlike many of the mandates during this whole thing. Happy to see some doctors sticking to their ethics. Doing things because of a perceived benefit isn't a good enough reason for logical/sane people. Creating a class system of the haves and have nots. Remember we can all still mingle at Costco! I can't believe they let all those dirty disgusting unvaxxed into grocery stores to mix in with the clean law abiding citizens. We should have tattoos or different colored clothing to show the difference. What a country we live in. Embarrassing that this is happening in Canada

How is it ethical to avoid doing what's best for the community one lives in?
You don't need a tattoo or special clothing, (conflating the Holocaust with Covid measures sure is a unique idea) since there must be a test that allows the smartest, most logical, and sane people to prove their superiority. Where did you write yours? Is there a passport for that? Does it come with a red hat?

Ever consider the fact that maybe many of those health care professionals refusing the vaccine might have natural immunity (recovered from COVID)? In places like NY that got hit really hard, probably way more than 50 percent of health care workers probably had natural immunity. Some percentage of people will always fight things, even if they make sense. But a much larger percentage of people will fight rules that are non-sensical which in my opinion many of the COVID rules being enforced around the world fall into that category.

And its best for the community with an already stretched medical system to ostracize and fire 3-5% of its most important members?

Would love to see the cost benefit analysis ... Wait. They didn't perform one.

These policies are most certainly creating a society of have vs have nots. How is having to produce a vaccine document/qr code any different than a tattoo verification for entry? I ask because apparently didn't pass my test.

The unvaccinated remain at greatest increased risk of occupying an ICU bed here in BC.

too bad they didn't realize that being vaccinated is 5x more effective than unvaccinated natural immunity! https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/70/wr/mm7044e1.htm

If you have such a problem here maybe move to Russia right now and see see how the do nothing plan is working out
Give your head a shake!

No breaking news there. It just says delta can still spread through vaccinated people but you should still get shots because you don’t get as sick or die.
