Algae Bloom

Anyone have any secrets on how to deal with getting the algae off your lines or how to stop it from getting on your lines? Sure sucks when you have a nice fish on and end up losing it due to the algae all over your lines....

never had that issue, what about the algae causes you to lose fish?

It gets on the lines and then it builds up at the rod tip eye and a little ball forms and makes it almost impossible to reel your line in.

When you are reeling in and your tip gets clogged, whip you rod down hard</u> once or three times so the tip smacks the water. It works.
