Game on!!!! Limits today and yesterday from Macktush to China Enjoy

I'm heading over to China Creek for 10 days coming up! Is the daily limit 4, possession limit 8?

Thanks, Dave

Having never tried for Sockeye, any tips as to what to use and how deep?

Really appreciate it

The limits died off today but lots still going on for the 200-300 boats out there ~~ as the school moved through from COUS to the Narrows:(

BAD Boat accident at Marina where a FN fellow and son were stuck and sunk by a fellow FN ,after the injured fellow was took to the Hospital ~~~ The other FN fellow was given Escort service by some of our finest to be charged [}:)] ~~ ~~~

Thanks for the depressing update. We're committed now so we'll just have to slug it out. Maybe another run will slip through before the commercial opening on tuesday. Will let you know how we did.

Quite right Whaler. Fishing tapered off really fast!
Appeared that the fishing was excellent for about 3 days but we just missed most of that run as it swam though quite quickly.
Expect the fishing to be poor for the next several days due to the commercial opening tuesday. Hope it picks up again by next week.

hey there drhook.......i always have good success on coyotte spoon in the 3.5 size i have acouple secret ones;) but ill share one with you that everyone knows about and it seems to be a good producer between 25 feet and once starts to get brighter out there move it down between 40 and 60feet ......its the halloween (black/orange)[}:)] on a 27inch leader, the leader length pretty much depends on how fast you troll, i troll at around .8mph ......or just go by my lines are hanging back....

cheers steelheadman:D

[:p]Ya was out for the first time today in a buddies boat we went 3 for 8 all between Narrows and China all 45 ft and up on 3 different pink hootchies. [8D] SAW a very few get limits but more like us or less .The zone tomorrow will be the same plus up to Cous as thet move through we need heat to put the brakes on them :)Will try my boat tomorrow [:I][:I]

just headin out the door, plan on fishn cous thismorning let you know how it produces out there today[}:)]

cheers steeelheadman

:D Update china south to Narrows~~ fished 7-10 am just missed the big bite but did get 11 hookups with but 2 in the net [:I][:I] top 25-45 ft @ 1.8 - 2.4 mph speed Fish all males today and much bigger than yesterday doe's !!! Enjoy the weekend for me~~ as I am at Work :(:(

My advice to getting the sockeye in the boat is to use a large commercial hook and dont use a net! Get the sockeye on the surface, put the rod to the sky and reel as fast as you can. when the fish is skiing on the surface thay tend not to squirm so much. Then just lift them in the boat.

1.8-2.4mph sounds a little fast.....i got allmine today doin .8-1mph didnt really look at my gps much, just went by how my lines were hangin back then when hit a fish id take a look at the gps......takin awhile off have work next couple days, be back at er soon enough:D

cheers steelheadman
