Abe & Al Flashers

Does anybody still fish with Abe & Al flashers any more? I have 2-3 just sitting here and was wondering if people still use them?

We used to use them for chums because we could shape them to rotate at a certain speed.

Yeah... the old Abe & Als. Major flash and major drag. Don`t set the hook to hard on these babies. Great with hootchies. eman

Yes I still use them , you can tune them for a nice slow roll for springs down deep.

I still find they outfish plastic 2 to 1. Wouldn't go after winter springs without one. I do find they work best with herring or anchovies compared to plastic.

Yes, We use Abe n Als. They not only work well but give us a good sense of tackle speed as the rod rhythm indicates the correct beat.
Still available at Trotac & Island Outfitters. As soon as any seaweed
fouls the line one can see immediately from the loss of beat.
