Today we trolled Tunstall to Hutt. Picked up a real nice one fairly quick on a phat E, jolly rancher glow. Off the bottom. Then a couple hours of nothing followed up with two quick hits on a krippled kc Herring aid. A 50cm and a 65 cm. We released todays fish but took home our prawn limit in two traps.

Just boxed one on a......... Black flasher 3" Herring Aid.

I love march

It only took 5 years but I think I've finally convinced everyone that the black Hot Spot flasher is lights out. No wonder I can't find them on the shelves anymore lol.

Fished Tunstall Bay and Bowen Bay this morning with no keepers to report. Did catch 2 ling cod, 1 copper rock cod and 1 just undersized chinook in 180' in Bowen Bay. High tide was around 8:45 pm. Saw a couple of other boats out trolling similar tacks yet no nets out.

Could be just a poor day of fishing or the fish have moved (or both). Marked some bait and fish but not in schools like a few weeks ago and earlier in the year. Beauty day out though. Not many mornings where you can clip along at 30 knots on the open water.
