I’ve never been sealed either! I guess you have to have a fish on for that to happen...

I was really close a couple years ago when my buddy netted a 13 pounder of mine just as a sea lion took a run at it. I jerked the fish into the net just in time.

No you don't have to have a fish on. I hooked a seal on a plug last year. Eventually broke off. If you're going to fish for seals my advice is not to use mooching rods.

I'm guessing since you don't have a car, you don't have a boat. If you are looking for fishing & crabbing off a dock.
Google crabbing Vancouver and you should find info for spots. Good luck
