A little more progress Storage hatch cut and door installed. Primer on the floor and now to work on the throttle mount location so I can get the helm station back in.

I agree but I think @Sttr has set the bar.
Haha, thanks Dan,
But I’m not sure about that.

I personally have you up at the top,
Your commitment, workmanship thru pain is something few recognize,
I feel ya and hope your pain management works well for you, wish you all the best.

And besides, I haven’t even built a boat!
I can very well end up selling a hull at the end of my thread!!

Luckily the Dr’s got me looked after and although being on meds for two years isn’t ideal it’s better than the alternative. I am at a tricky spot in the build with the new windows and framing for them I’ve seen quite a few of the double eagles with a forward facing windows that just don’t look right proportion wise and I don’t wanna make that mistake so I’ll take my time and see if I can make this work

yah please don’t do that forward facing window thing. it looks so bad….

With the old top off i got to work cleaning it up and removing the windows. There was at least 500 or more staples holding down the vinyl liner. It was a good thing i stripped it as it had some rot where the light attached on the roof. I will clean that up and lay a couple layers of new glass down

Question about my diesel heater. After some advice from a few members here I am relocating the exhaust. My plannis to move it from its current location shown in the picture to the new location. The exhaust wil be on about a 10 degree down angle. Is this enough? And second for the Double eagle guys will the location be ok for water splash or waves entering the exhaust?

@DanJ
Is the new location just below the rub rail ?
If it is it should be okay
On my buddies Grady White the exhaust is about 2 feet above the water line
Hope is helps

Today was a day of sanding and cutting up my hard top. I started the day by working on the window frames and then cutting the hard top to lengthen it. After cutting I removed the Balsa wood a few inches on either side to accommodate a piece of marine plywood that I epoxied in place. Once its glassed in it should look like it was never touched. The rest of the day was sanding. I previously removed all the snaps drilling them out and grinding away some gel coat to get to glass then proceeded to fill them. Today was sanding them smooth. I will get some pictures of that once it is in primer because it looks like a dog’s breakfast right now.

You don’t need the drain tube/90 anymore. could just use all flexible tubing and save some space. Good progress Keep at it.

It feels like its been a long winter not working on the boat. Today was a nice day to shake the dust off and get back at it. Building the throttle control box. This will be home to the throttles and a few other things. I will cover it in glass and paint to match the interior

Yes, I got rid of the step down when you enter. And put a in floor fuel tank. That made the stock roof hight 5 feet so I am raising it about 10 inches.
