He posts almost only in the stories which appear at the top of the iGram feed when you first log in. He posts a lot and awesome tuna stuff lately like albacore on fly rods (that is not what I had alluded to earlier).....we had some cold ones after the day out there yesterday.

Is it still possible to book trips for Tuna fishing? Haven't bothered googling as I assume all of the guides are booked by now.
Can anyone PM any contacts of guides? I understand the weather is a key - willing to come on short notice.

If I am not able to find guides, I would consider travelling (from Mainland) on my own 33' Grady with some buddies... Is that a bad idea? I have only a few days before the kids go to school.

I guided for tuna from 2009 to 2019 and it was almost impossible to plan when the temp breaks/tuna were within 60 miles and the winds/sea were favourable to go. There always had to be a plan B

Yeah, it does but look good on the rec sector taking more than 'rec' catches.
Look at the current sockeye situation wrt FSC.

There is a huge biomass out there and not like sockeye. Not going to rivers and facing multiple nets, hooks and lines. There are tons of toonies out there right now.
Due to the size of our boat at 26' we loaded up and bear in mind those fish are passing by Oregon and Washington before they get to us and they are a sustainable fishery.

You could probably get shuttled over French creek to port alberni? @Rain City has the hookup and run up the inlet to Bamfield. I think their derby is on so you could keep it there for a week or 10 days.
I’ve done the run around and it can be good or a slog, autopilot/radar overlay recommended.

Bulk was 45 miles out. halfway between Loudon and Clayoquot Canyons. @Aces it is called something Charles Canyon? @kaelc we were loaded up with no space on the boat but said lets pick up one more as we trilled towards Lenard ......picked up our last at 35 miles. All in all it was our spot and south to Loudon were the money and big fish.

Sick, you just made me check Windy and send off a text to check the boys availability for Friday. I just had a good afternoon editing spring and halibut fishing videos and I’m a little giddy, ready to try anything

Thank you. I was thinking about having the boat towed from Nanaimo area, but figured it would be difficult to arrange it all on such a short notice.
