I had my motor stop on the lake the other day and took the cover off the cowl and seen that the air filter foam was missing. It was not in the cowl and I suppose it has been sucked up into the throttle body. What do I need to look at to see why it will not run. I'm sure the foam as it was a rather large piece is in the system somewhere. Should I start by removing the throttle body and see if I can find it? The motor will start but will not idle. Shuts down immediately.I installed new filters and new air filter and plugs. The old ones seemed OK but replaced anyway. Motor is a 2008 model. Should I remove the intake or the fuel injectors?
