Wrong in so many ways!!

Englishman....I was not disbelieving the facts of the issue--they are straightforward--but rather challenging the inferences and typical editorializing that is often passed as news in the UK--and using it as a reference in this discussion. Also, merely observing the irony that revenue gained from the sales of cars was enabling the author to do so. The joys of Brit news media......
 
Ah, OK Westcap19, I see where you are coming from now.
Editorialising or not, a very common aspect of all news media, you can also argue that the author has been given the freedom to report the story. No one has told him that oil sands stories are "off-limits" because their revenue might be indirectly connected to car sales. And that is a good thing!
