John Jenkins skipper of the Eliza Joye out of Sooke will have some probably for sale at the govt. wharf in Sooke in mid October. He usually has frozen fillets, canned tuna and other seafood. Very good quality and reasonable prices. Email him at at coldfish1@telus.net

FYI. Tuna selling here on the island now for $4lb as of last weekend. Price is higher than last year here as the fishermen got paid more this year from the commercial buyers. Last year prices were quite low due to Covid.

Tuna for sale off the commercial Troller MV Contessa at Tsehum Harbour at the commercial docks starting Sunday Oct 3 daily 9am until dusk. Under 12lbs $4/lb or $3.50 for over 100lbs and tuna over 17 lbs $6/lb or $5 for over 100lbs. Tsehum Harbour, 10441 Resthaven Drive, Sidney (250-886-9320- Mike) (B Dock by the phone booth)

Ohh for sure. It's worth 20 a lb all day. Or more

I paid 7 a lb at the dock last year for whole bleed fish. Did not bat an eyelash

WA and US price to the public is $3 USD, $4 CAD. I agree considering what meat is going for $7 CAD is fair.
