Whirlpool rapids or Current Passage

I will be going through Green Point Rapids on the slack or maybe just a little before and I figure approximately two hours running to get to Whirlpool or current meaning that I will be into the ebbing tide by a couple of hours. Whirlpool shows 4kt and Current 2.5kt. Which do you figure would be the best route in these conditions.
