Where to buy new 9.9hp Kicker Motor?

Here is a question I thought I would throw out to everyone here.

I'm thinking of buying a new (or lightly used) 9.9hp kicker motor to replace the one on my boat.

It must be electric start, 4-stroke, and dependable. I would like it to have a hydraulic or electric lift to get it right out of the water, as the existing one seems to hook the port downrigger cable quite regularly. I would also like to have steering and controls in the forward cabin and on the back deck.

Is there a dealer in Campbell River, Courtenay, Comox that can sell and install the unit as a package?

What brand would you recommend? Yamaha or Honda, or other?

You might want to check out the camp returns, not sure what they have
up island but SG Power in Victoria have a sales program here
on lease return motors.
they have the 8 hp and 9.9 Yamaha's available.
Check out their ad on "used victoria "

I've had both Honda and Yamaha,9.9 and 8 hp.All good,I like the 8 hp yamaha best out of all of them,really can fine tune the speed.I didn't notice much difference in power on a 18 foot boat. I checked with all the dealers on the island for price,they all were about the same,saved about 200 + bux on the lower mainland,further up the valley.Although with things being a little slower, they might want a sale now.Dan
