It is a rainbow. My guess is that it is from a hatchery. Deformity's from hatcheries and the wild are not uncommon. The difference is in a hatchery there are no predators or competition for feed so when an individual like that gets to size it can continue to live and grow after it is delivered to it new home. There is a small. small possibility this could have been made naturally but the chances are very slim.

pretty tough to eat it, unless you put it on a skewer and ate it like a popsicle
