Still on the hunt. Anyone know of any used XXL (30”) shaft motors for sale that meet the above requirements?

Just an FYI I found a 2019 mechanical 200 Mercury 3.4L with an XL shaft (25inch) for $16,500 with no rigging or prop. Just for comparisons sake if you are on the hunt and comparing quotes.

That’s an amazing deal too. Not enough horseys and wrong shaft length for me but great price. Where at so I can keep my eye on their stock?

Stumbled across this today: https://breakersmarine.com/product/suzuki-250hp-30-leg-msrp-31195

Not sure if that's in your budget but seems like a pretty solid deal.
Out of my price range after tax, controls, cables, prop, gauges and install. ($30000) I figure if I get something used, lease return or some crazy factory rebate deal and possibly install myself I should be able to get something in 20000 (all in) range for a fairly almost new motor. Please keep the suggestions coming though. My main motor is off my Seasport and I am ready for my new power plant.

So Port Boat House in Port Alberni had the 2020 4 cylinder yamaha 200 mechanical (25 inch shaft) No controls and props for $16,800. I went with the Mercury 200hp 2019 3.4L from Vector yacht sales in Sidney as they price matched and I wanted more displacement for my podded double eagle. Shane at Vector has been very nice to deal with thus far and I have great things to say about Mike Hudson from Port as well it just came down to the engine being the deciding factor.

Can anyone steer me to the pros and cons of 2015 or newer Yamaha, Merc or Suzuki. Seems they all make a good product but maybe I am missing something? Still looking for a 2015 or newer 30” shaft 250hp-300hp under 600 hours if anyone knows of any coming up/for sale.

How about this?
I would do some more digging before buying the first half dozen years of the verado. I own mercs but would not buy a 2010 verado.

How about this?
Also looks like motor only. Fly by wire (don't thibk they had a mech 300 but could be wrong) is expensive if you nuy new+ a prop. Add another 50% to the motor price for the rigging and prop.

Thanks but unfortunatly I need a 30" shaft and that one is a 25" shaft. It's also alot older than I would like. Merc calls their ultralong shaft a XXL.

My last boat had a 2013 Merc Verado 175. It gave me zero issues. Dif motor I know, but my confidence for a newer lower hour verado is high. Trying to stick with 2015 or newer to avoid something that has been marinating in salt for a decade.

Good to know. So for a fly by wire merc, is it about $4500 for new controls, prop and gauge? or is that install included in that price?

I priced out a 200 mercury/yamaha at about 10 dealers until I found one that I was happy with. Here is one with a cost breakdown on the rigging itself and the labour. This is for a 200 mercury electric shift with Vessel view display, I ultimately went with the vessel view mobile and made a mount for an iPad in my dash so I could not only have the ability to pull fault codes but I can install Navionics on the tablet as well.
