That was made by my old neighbour Nick Lupkoski. He use to work for Peetz, so it would of been some special Peetz reel. He passed away bout 20 years ago. He was about 65-70 years old when he died.
I have the son of the man who made that reel standing here. He says that his father never worked for Peetz. He preceeded Peetz but sold his reels to them for a number of years. He made his reels from solid blanks and Peetz eventually figured out how to make cheaper reels by using cheaper parts and they did an end-run around him and cut him out of the equation.
