Hi there, new thread from tourist.
I'm a Norwegian who shall visit BC the last week in july and the two first of August with my newly wedded wife. Our basecamp shall be around Vancouver Island, and my preferences regarding flyfishing are trout fishing with dry imitations with a 4# rod. I bought a couple og books on the net about flyfishing in british colombia and alberta; but If anyone can give some nice tips I would be really happy. A nice little river with some nice trouts rising for a drake, caddis, midge, emerger. I'm only used to browntrout but I'm interested inn all fish that is trout, I saw pictures of cuttroat trout and rainbow trout that would have been nice to catch! My best alternatives so far: Alpine lakes around Whistler, skagit river, crownest river and another valley southeast of vancouver that I dont remember right now. In addition, the forbidden platou on Vancouver Island should be the location of some alpine lakes. Thanks in advance dear fellow fishermen.

Jan Erik.
