Fishing Barkley sound in July. Looking for some reccomendations on body colors and size for the area?

Any other fishing tips wiould be greatly appreciated.

Cannot go wrong with 5" and 6" 602, 158, 212 and a 203. Fish them with the pin removed and about 50' behind your cannon ball, unless you are among a lot of boats, then shorten up to about 30'

I am sure there is more, but these were my fav back when I used to fish the sound.

Fish offshore or off Cree, top end of Edward King or any where along the surf line.

602 works the best for me
its a go too for just about everyone

Don't forgot the old classic 232 and I have had good luck with the 530(UV/purple haze) all in 7 inch sizes to help keep those pesky coho off them.
