Tofino Fishing Report - AWESOME!!!

Well despite the blown motor to start this season things are shaping up nicely for a pretty epic summer here in Tofino. The salmon continue to chew out there with abandon and there are some very big halibut around for this time of year. Perfect weather out there most days, combined with very little rain, and you have the makings for one heck of a memorable summer of NW action.

Here's a smattering of pics from the last week and a half of fishing, doing my 20 hr maintenance after breaking in the new motor today, back on the water tomorrow. Can't wait!!!

Ha, thanks guys. Tofino does seem to be blessed with great fishing, good nightlife, wonderful atmosphere, and an abundance of beautiful women. (sigh....) What's a guy to do?!?!?!?

Damn! Nice pics. Tofino is a great town. Waves, wildlife, fish, hippies, and good food. My kinda town. Be there soon for some south swell. Maybe I should bring the boat.

Big run of new fish just moved in yesterday with some much larger average sized fish showing. Nothing under 20#'s in the box yesterday on salmon, it was all you wanted out there and they are getting shallower!!! Limited out on hali's up to 87#'s as well. Morning off today, but can't wait to get out there this afternoon!!!

There's no such thing as a far run in Tofino! I'm used to going 30 - 400 one way in Mexico and Panama. These little hops here in Tofino are a cakewalk.
