They're gonna industrialise Barclay Sound!

With all this said there are some companies in the rewables sector that are earners as well and there will continue to be more as time goes on. My point being is this,, the markets will decide what industry does not the whiners of this world. There are sloths there are builders, you want an industry to flourish, invest in it, take control, don't sit back and whine about what other do. Here's a start for some of you, get off the proverbial government couch so to speak and take action where it will work. I've got at least half of my investments in the renewables sector, I've got nothing against it at all what I am against is forcing the shut down of one industry and all it supports for an industry that isn't ready to handle the load. Let the markets work and they will eventually sort themselves out.

A group has submitted an application for a massive LNG plant in Sarita Bay in Barclay Sounds. Fracked gas, pipelines across BC, marine and land based terminals; the works on 730 hectares of land. You have only until 18th November (3 days) to get your comment in calling for a full Federal Environmental Assessment!

This project's approval by the FN's is absolutely sickening.
Aren't the FN's meant to be the "stewards of the land"??
That's a tough name to live up to when you approve of fracking and destroying sensitive, coastal ecosystems.
There is nothing positive coming from this approval.
The pipeline that will supply this terminal with LNG still has to be approved. This pipeline has to cross the straight and come overland from comox to sarita. A strong opposition of the pipeline routing could also help to derail this project.

I hope that this too is strongly opposed. Certainly not everyone can be bought.

Maybe not the price of nature gas is spinking in BC right now that may make projects like this not economical.

and we, the tax payer, once again, will subsidize in the name of false economy.

Long term looks pretty solid for natural gas for many years. This would be a solid investment for the region.

That's a big negative there bud.

Solid investment?

Like a nice little piece of shoreline destruction?

Not to mention the tanker traffic into barkley sound!

Trevor channel is typically plugged with both rec and commercial fishing vessels for 6 months of the year.

So yeah, let's fire some tankers through there and plug up sarita bay too...... ah no!

But that's just my opinion.
