Peter holm of Sooke marine center figured out what was wrong with my brand new Suzuki. All weekend during the Sooke Salmon Enhancement derby my motor was stuck in limp mode where it wouldn't go over 3000 rpm. Turns out the guys at Sea Power weren't through enough when installing it and never adjusted the motor cover so moisture built up in the wiring harness which caused the tachometer not to work. Finally someone took the time to analyze the problem instead of hooking it up to a computer resetting the codes and saying everything is fine and sending you on your way only to find out later that your motor has serious problems.

thanks Sooke Marine Center.

Thats great. There is a trick I use for the winter months to dry your wiring out. Try to get a can of ether, and spray your wiring with it. It will take the moisture right out of the wires!
