Tahsis Boat Launch Ramp

I have seen an attendant there later at night and even during the slow season. They also run a secured lot, but judging from the undisturbed 3 ft high grass, the gate does not get locked as advertised. I think a better question is if anyone ever had a problem parking on the road in Gold River?

At 25 mph it should be about 1:30 and best times are early morning or evening as the afternoon winds can kick up.

So I launch at Gold River and run to Tahsis,
where and at what cost would one find moorage for a few day's??

Try Westview Marina:

Just keep a tight hold on your wallet while there...

There is also the Maquinna Resort/Hotel, cheaper, but limited dock space, no power, and no cover over fish cleaning stations.

Also, I would try to leave Gold River earlier in the day if possible. If you go later, say after 5 or 6 PM, you will have the sun in your eyes, it will probably be a bit rough, and there are log booms that come out from the shoreline a long ways without being well marked. They can be hard to see under these conditions.
