tackle storage for 17' boats?

Im thinking of making some storage in my gunnels for a more organized tackle storage any guys with fiberglass boats build anything like that? looking for some ideas

If your like me and most you could probably just pack the 2 flashers and 2 favorite lures you will use and leave the rest at home.
My boat is 17ft. I keep tackle sorted in the plastic containers sorted by hootchies, spoons, anchovie heads, terminal tackle, jigs, halibut... and just take the couple of cases that I will need that day and try to only have 4 flashers with me. A good storage area for these containers on board would be cool.
I will be interested to see what ideas people reply with.

After many years of packing around large bulky tackle boxes, I have my favourites
either on the rod or on my dash. Seems I never change more than 2 or 3 times per trip
anyway.
2 or 3 flashers in the gutter with my bonker and net, and I'm good to go.

I have seen roof gutter sections attached under gunnels for a quick simple extra storage option.
