You will need a little electronic knowledge to hook it up, but the unit and transducer all worked when I took it off my boat.
I was not using it and the extra transducer would on occasion get tangled with my gear.
It is compatible with the Lowrance HDS. Mine is an 8". I have the operation s guide for it as well.
