Starting battery

I need a new starting battery for my 90Hp Mercury. Any recommendations? There is a group 24 660 cca in there now. I have a house battery as well and the boat is set up with an add-a-battery system. Cheers.

I use a deep cycle to start my 300hp, just go a bit beyond the CCA recommendation for the 90hp. Unless your daily using the boat, no need to have a Starter battery for that motor.

I run a 27 group marine deep cycle battery from Costco for my ‘13 Yam 115. Lots of CCA. I just run a solo battery with a jumper pack as back up. I should get it tested as it’s Coming up on 4 years but hasn’t missed a beat. More for peace of mind. Probably will pop a new one is this winter.

I picked up a couple group 31 from inland Kenworth Batteries are for trucks however at 109$ plus core, 18 month warranty and are Canada batteries figured I could not go wrong

Match or exceed the specs from Mercury, but you don't need overkill here.
Does your battery tray have room for a 27?
Costco has a deep cycle 24.
Do you want AGM? Canadian Tire (East Penn batteries rebranded) has 24, 27, and 31.
