Stainless vs Chrome Plated Brass

I bought a coupled of chocks for my boat that I thought were stainless steel but turns out they are chrome plated Brass.
Looking on the internet it seems that CPB can be better than stainless? I also see that stainless steel is less expensive to buy in some cases.
On the West Marine web site a CPB cleat is almost twice the price of stainless.

Just wondering what the opinion on this is. Which one is better?

Then you'd be good with either..... Tough desision though. I'd lean towards the chrome brass ones as most stainless is so cheap these days it yellows and stains the fibreglass.

316L stainless is my preferred choice. cpb is prob ok... maybe better than 304 stainless... just my opinion but i'm not an expert.
